PSI SOONERS 2 T his year has certainly been a challenge for our chapter, leaders, and general members, but overall, we have seen some of the greatest examples of strength and sisterhood since we've been a member at Psi Chapter. Our women have stepped up to the plate to support each other as we walk through this year of uncertainty. Our response to COVID-19 this semester was headed by our house manager, Hannah Spedding '18. She gracefully addressed every concern surrounding the pandemic and our response. She worked hand in hand with fraternity and sorority programs and services and the House Corporation to ensure the safety of our members. Fraternity and Sorority Programs and Services even stated that Gamma Phi Beta has the safest policies and that we should serve as an example to other facilities on campus. We are all proud and grateful for Hannah and her selflessness throughout this year, and especially this semester. As you might expect, philanthropic efforts have been difficult this year. However, before the pandemic, a past member had the opportunity to participate in the Lambda Chi Alpha White Rose pageant—and she won! e winnings were added to our philanthropy fund. We also participated in the Kendra Scott Gives Back program, in which a portion of sales are dedicated to our philanthropic fund. We've been participating in sisterhood events as we can, especially focusing on our new members so that we can offer them the best experience under the circumstances. We would like to highlight Education Vice President Karima Soliman '18 for her leadership in pursuing sisterhood opportunities with the help of her committee of six women. While recruitment was fully virtual this year, we led our women through an innovative and values-based recruitment. ey led with integrity, flexibility, and perseverance, pushing our women to display love, labor, learning, and loyalty in every conversation. We received great feedback from many that our women created a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. is year overall has displayed our community and perseverance as a chapter. We hope all of you wonderful alumnae are staying safe and healthy, and we can't wait for the day you can visit again!
