Payton Wubben Clive, Iowa Welcome, Fall 2020 New Members D ue to COVID-19, sorority and fraternity recruitment looked dramatically different across the country. Tau's Evaluating Committee (EVC) worked hard to respond to changes to maintain the safety of the Iowa City community while ensuring that chapter members and potential new members (PNMs) experienced the best possible values- based recruitment. All primary recruitment events (prep week, primary recruitment rounds, Bid Day) were held virtually via Zoom this year for all University of Iowa Panhellenic Council chapters. There were 702 PNMs registered for Primary Recruitment in 2020. While the experience was different, we are thrilled to share we recruited another amazing pledge class this year. Tau extended 41 bids on Bid Day (37 primary and 4 secondary). Additionally, Tau extended 16 bids through Continuous Open Bidding to reach a chapter total of 155 members. FALL PRIMARY RECRUITMENT 2020
