"Once we started asking for financial support, I think many sisters realized there was a need to get re-involved with the sisterhood." Today, Kristen is helping start an alumnae chapter in the Austin, Texas, area. "I've been more in touch with Sigma Kappa Nationals down here," Kristen said. "It's been great meeting sisters from other chapters across the country." Kristen continues her support of Sigma Kappa because she feels the sorority helped her become who she is today, and she hopes her fellow alumnae remember what Xi Chapter did for them. "My husband and I both support KU and Sigma Kappa for all they gave us," Kristen said. "I would encourage my sisters to get involved however they can." Kristen lives in Georgetown, Texas, with her husband, Michael. They have two sons, David and Brian. You can reach Kristen at mk_tierney@yahoo.com.
