G
reetings, brothers! I'm writing to
you from the president's desk in
O'Club on a beautiful September
aernoon. Although things at Alpha Nu
Chapter feel more than a little different
this semester compared to others, I feel
lucky to simply be back at the Hutt given
the circumstances. Most guys have a mix of
in-person and online classes. Intramurals
have ceased operations, most student clubs
and organizations are meeting strictly
through Zoom, and the first home football
game of the year was played without any
fans in Memorial Stadium. e COVID-19
pandemic has certainly affected Alpha
Nu in a variety of ways, but we've done
our best to retain the most authentic
experience possible.
We were lucky enough to finish up
our recruitment process before most
COVID-19 guidelines were implemented.
anks to our team, there are 25 new
brothers roaming the halls of Usher
Mansion today. As far as grades go, we
finished the spring semester with a chapter
GPA of 3.65, and last year's pledge class
achieved an impressive 3.71 GPA during
the fall semester.
e Hutt is also continuing its excellence
and tradition of leadership on the Hill, with
the election of my pledge brother, Apramay
Mishra '22, as KU's newest student body
president in April. Additionally, SaeVheon
Alcorn '23 and TaeVheon Alcorn '23 are
both sprinters for the KU Track and Field
team. e 136th Annual Turkey Pull was
a great ending to the fall 2019 semester,
and we have a spring formal in Chicago
planned for late April. Crossing our fingers
on that one!
I can sincerely say that Alpha Nu is in a
great place right now. We look forward to
seeing our alumni brothers again once it is
safe for them to return to Usher Mansion.
Yours in _kai_,
Nick Kneibert '22
