We are all born to help each other. No matter how diffi cult it is…Life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you." Be happy. The Coun- cil adopted Ord. No. 20-11 amend- ing the Town Zoning Map to rezone properties located generally east of Riggles Ave. and south of Coyote St. up to the boundary of I-10 from Suburban Ranch and Rural Area Five to C-2 Commercial, consisting of about 114 acres. Council voted to deny rezoning Application 8664 by Mr. James Shiew, to rezone APN 306-69-009 at 455 E. Mayfl ower St. from Subur- ban Ranch to C-2 Commercial. Council authorized entering into an agreement with American legal Publishing Corp. for recodifi cation services of the Town Code at a cost not to exceed $15,000. The compa- ny will take all recently adopted Or- dinances and incorporate them into an updated and reformatted Town Code that will be online and search- able. The project is scheduled to take about eight months to complete. Transit Manager Jan Collier pre- sented the fi nal Title VI non-dis- crimination implementation plan. The plan identifi es different ways the transit department will accom- modate non-English speaking per- son who wish to use the Camel Ex- press Transit Service. The State has completed its review and approves the two-year plan. The Council authorized the solici- tation of proposals for a consultant to assist the Town in updating the Town Zoning Code. The consultant would hold several public meetings in the community to gather public input on recommended changes to the zoning code. The consultant will involve the P & Z Comminssioners and Council Members over a six- month period to produce an updat- ed Zoning Code. The Town Council discussed the pros and cons of returning to hold- ing Council meeting in person. The consensus was that the Council will continue to hold meetings via Zoom for another month, and direction was given to staff to explore setting up a hybrid in-person/Zoom meet- ing arrangement.
