This would be used in the rear cargo area of the patrol vehicle. Come see our beautiful butterfl y fuzzy backed handmade quilt. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. We also have a sunny yellow accented patchwork quilt for $20.00. These proceeds all go to this kennel purchase. Come in and see these quilts and help sup- port our local QPD K9 Offi cers. We have reopened and are on our summer schedule. YEAH!!! We have several safety protocols in place. We are following CDC and the state busi- ness guidelines. Our carts, baskets, and register counter are sanitized after each use. We will limit the number of shoppers if necessary and are using the one camel six-foot safe distancing practices. Face coverings are required. Nose and mouth need to be covered. Hand sanitizer is available. Have fun - greeter volunteer positions available. Accepting application to be a front porch greeter. Job description; explain wearing of mask, how to sort donations, and spray carts, baskets, door handle, etc. Schedule can is very fl exible. Think about it. We are taking limited donations inside on the front porch area. Carts are labeled so that you can self-sort your items. We do have to hold items for 72 hours before they can be brought into the building. Please understand with this requirement we cannot take large truck loads of donations at this time. All these modifi cations are subject to change. We all need to be fl exible and loving to each other as we work together. Don't give up on this year. Keep fi ghting for the good. Keep showing up. Keep giving back. Keep be- ing kind. Keep being brave. Keep caring. Keep trying new things. Keep showing grace. This world needs you to believe in the good. We all need each other. Give hope to all. Lake Havasu City- Quartzsite resi- dent Lydia Perkins died in a vehicle crash on the evening of Wednesday, September 23, 2020. On Wednesday, September 23, at approximately 8:25 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department re- sponded to a vehicle crash on SR 95 near Acoma Boulevard South. During the investigation, it was determined that the male driver of a 2010 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on SR 95 in the right lane and had just passed the Aco- ma Boulevard South intersection when he rear-ended a 1994 Harley Davidson Motorcycle occupied by a male operator and female passen- ger, who were also traveling south in the right lane. As a result of the collision, both riders of the Harley Davidson were ejected off the motorcycle. The fe- male passenger of the Harley Da- vidson was struck by the Honda Civic after ejection, and was then struck by a 2009 Toyota Tacoma, which was also traveling south- bound on SR 95. The female passenger, identifi ed as 65-year-old Quartzite, Arizona, resident Lydia Perkins, was pro- nounced deceased at the accident scene. The male operator of the Harley Davidson motorcycle was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The male drivers of the Honda Civic and Toyota Ta- coma were uninjured. The Lake Havasu City Police De- partment's Crash Investigation Team responded to the accident scene to conduct the investigation. SR 95 was closed for several hours from Acoma Boulevard South to Oro Grande Boulevard during the investigation and the Arizona De- partment of Transportation re- sponded to assist with the closure. The accident is still under investiga- tion and contributing factors have not been identifi ed at this time. Local resident dies in LHC crash
