Because our branches are high-touch areas, Redstone wanted to go beyond the extensive daily cleaning and provide even more protection – a barrier that kills off viruses and bacteria for up to two weeks. Enter bioPURE, a franchise owned by local entrepreneurs Andy ompson and Tony Gann. "We have been able to take a disinfectant and antimicrobial strategy that, before now, was only available to hospitals and deploy it in a cost-effective way.'' ompson and Gann are also partners in an engineering firm and, a few years ago, wanted to expand into something new. Little did they know that a pandemic would create an overnight demand for their services. "It has certainly been a whirlwind,'' said Gann. "We are excited to help our clients with their cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting needs.'' What makes bioPURE different from other disinfectant products on the market? It uses a two-step process: bioPURE Clean to clean, sanitize, and disinfect – and bioPURE Shield, an antimicrobial applied to shield from and kill the virus for up to 14 days in high-touch areas. It can last longer in other areas. e product is applied using an electrostatic spray that comes out as a cloud plume and wraps itself around all surfaces and objects. It is EPA-approved for use against the coronavirus. e business owners said it was a no- brainer to bring their business accounts to Redstone. Both have had personal accounts here for many years.
