Box 442100 Lawrence, KS 66044-2100 Address Service Requested THE SCIMITAR Active Chapter Thrives Despite Adversity Delta Chi Earns Highest GPA in Chapter History G reetings from the active chapter at Delta Chi at K-State! As we plan out our fall semester, I'd like to give you a quick update on the chapter. Meetings for the undergradu- ate chapter, executive board, and ABT are all being held over Zoom. In the meantime, we're encouraging our members to stay connected electronically and are looking forward to being back in Manhattan for the fall semester. Even during this unusual semester, we contin- ued our success in the classroom. Academically, 2019-2020 was our best year ever as a chapter. Our combined fall and spring GPA was over a 3.4, which places us in the top 5 among fraterni- ties and well above the fraternity and all-univer- sity averages. Grades will always be a primary focus for the chapter, and we're proud of our members for their hard work last year. One of K-State Delta Chi's Five Pillars tells us to take proactive leadership on campus and in the community. At the chapter level, we sent members to the Regional Leadership Confer- ence at Missouri State University in February. We also want to recognize our numerous indi- vidual leaders on campus. Nathan Anderson '20 was named the IFC Chapter Member of the Year for his service to the chapter in four differ- ent executive board positions. This upcoming school year we have numerous brothers serving in leadership positions throughout campus. There are three Delta Chis on the Student Gov- erning executive board, more than any fraternity at K-State. We are one of the most involved chapters on campus and take pride in these men that represent us as student leaders. Reflecting on our chapter's achievements over the past year, I know that we wouldn't be where we are today without the support of our alumni. Between our advisors, volunteers, and anyone who has taken the time to be involved, you make greatness at Delta Chi possible. I also want to thank the generous donors to our capital campaign. When you support this campaign, you ensure that our future is bright and we will thrive for generations to come. While we had to cancel our spring alumni event in Kansas City, we hope to see you at a future gathering when it is safe to do so. If you are not getting our emails or have other questions about the chapter, please reach out to me. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy!
