Tables had been reserved for the Thursday evening Sioux Alumni Awards Banquet, Friday house tours led by Chapter members and the architect had been planned to be followed by a UND military-led dedication of the Veteran's Room, the Ralph Englestad Arena Lobby had been reserved for a gala evening of fine food, Tau tales and just general reminiscing of those fun-filled, friendship-building, and formative four years at UND. A Saturday brunch had been planned on the spectacular, semi-circular patio fronting on University Avenue to watch the UND floats and parade to be followed by a home hockey game—and then COVID-19 happened, and everything in the world changed. We will do our grand opening and it will be truly grand... just not this year. We are planning for possibly October 2021 to celebrate the 100th anniversary (one year early) of the establishment of Delta Nu Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega at UND. Stay tuned. FALL 2020 PLANS What is being planned and will happen is a small dedication ceremony, likely Thursday, September 10 or 17, depending on which date new UND President Armacost is available. Because of physical distancing, the invited group will be small, consisting of current Chapter members, the Delta Nu Board of Trustees, our ΑΤΩ Alumni Board, representatives of UND's administration, the architect and contractor and a few other special guests. Plans are to video the dedication so that ALL Delta Nu alumni and friends can stream the ceremony immediately following the house tour. Watch for an e-mail blast with details.
