3 Kappa Alpha Chapter A s Kappa Delta women, we are taught to face the world with a brave heart. During these unprecedented times, the sisters of the Kappa Alpha Chapter have done just that. We have embraced the challenges and curve balls presented to us and used them as an opportunity to grow as students, women, and leaders of the community. e closing of the spring semester is traditionally a time of celebration and the commencement of our beloved seniors. However, this spring looked much different as we were sent home in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the challenges we faced, Kappa Alpha Chapter rose above. We adapted by hosting virtual senior ceremonies and sisterhood events to conclude the semester. We celebrated our seniors with a virtual senior sendoff and superlative showcase. We also highlighted all of our amazing achievements on our social media platforms. To maintain our sisterhood, we had virtual bible studies, workout classes, and coffee dates. A sisterhood journal was started that is being sent around the Chapter and filled with notes of love, joy, and positivity. We hope to share some of these journal entries with you soon! e above is a testament that our sisterhood cannot be shaken or ried no matter how great the distance. As the semester concluded, Kappa Alpha earned the distinction of highest Greek Chapter GPA. is is an accomplishment we are incredibly proud of as is a reflection of our academic drive and commitment to education. Academic Excellence Chairman Camryn Koziarski '18 was instrumental in leading us in our academic success. Kappa Alpha also received two Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life Pursuit of Excellence awards: the Outstanding New Member Education Programing award and the Living Our Values Leadership Programming award. ese accomplishments would not be possible without the spirit, heart, and dedication each sister brings to our circle. is summer, we have carried the momentum we had last spring into our local communities, leading by example and spreading positivity. In exchange for the print, she asked for donations to Feeding Thriving Through Adverse Times Kappa Alpha Chapter Achieves Several Accolades Northeast Florida. Audrey was able to put a smile on many people's faces during a time of need and raise over $1,000 for a worthy cause. In addition, three Kappa Alpha sisters have showcased their entrepreneurial talents by creating their own businesses. Bella ompson '17 created her own custom denim brand, Radiantly Reborn. Our Vice President of Operations, Maia Billman '18, started her own hat brand, MMDesigns, and Allie Romano '19 shines bright as the creator of her jewelry brand, Southside Charms. Kappa Alpha sisters are actively learning about, and preparing for, their careers as they gain professional experience through impressive summer jobs and internships. We have numerous sisters working in a variety of fields right now, including healthcare, finance, insurance, fashion, marketing, accounting, retail, business development, and real estate. It is amazing to hear our sisters talk about how the Kappa Delta experience has helped them in the professional arena.
