The Fayetteville Fire Department has begun reprogramming station and portable radios to communicate with Cumberland County’s new   Interoperability Plan for Emergency  allows for better communication with public safety agencies across the state. The Fayetteville Fire Department already communicates with Cumberland    reception.   plans on getting the City on the system in the next 18 to 24 months, Horne said.
