Breakfast at Tiffany's coming to State The second in The State Theatre's Classic Film Series, Breakfast at Tiffany's is a 1961 American romantic comedy film starring Audrey Hepburn and George Pep- pard, and featuring Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebsen, Martin Balsam and Mickey Rooney. The film will be presented at 4 p.m. Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Treat yourself to a glass of champagne or Tehama County wine. Paradise Chocolate Fest hard to resist PARADISE — Experience a chocolate paradise on the Paradise ridge nestled among tall green pines in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and overlooking the Sacramento Valley. The eighth annual international award-winning Paradise Chocolate Fest benefits non-profit youth organizations on the Paradise Ridge. The festival will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at Terry Ashe Park on the Skyway in Paradise. The event features Chocolate Candy Land where you can dip into decadence at the large chocolate fountain or visit chocolate booths and professional chocolatiers. A very special highlight of the festivities will be "Chocolate Royale!," the crowning of the 2013 Paradise Chocolate Fest Queen or King with a sweet celebration for all to enjoy. Youngsters will have great fun visiting KidzZone including giant inflat- ables, carnival games and prizes, costumed characters, clowns, crafts projects, balloon art and much, much more amusement. Special events throughout the day include a Chocolate Pancake Break- fast, Chocolate Chase Fun Run/Walk, Chocolate Cuisine Challenge, Chocolate Pie Eating and Cookie Stacking Contests, Super Sensational Ice Cream Sundae Spoon-Feeding Contest, "Choc-Full of Fiber Arts" Textile Show, a variety of Musical Entertainment and live chocolate demonstrations. It received an Honorable Mention award. Photographers around the world are invited to enter photos for the 2013 Images from a Glass Eye International Juried Photography Show. Entries will be accepted through Wednesday, July 3. The award for best of show is $1,500. Awards of $500 for second place, $250 for third place, and four merit awards of $100 also will be given.
