Naifeh Jr. '79 entered Our Mystic Shrine on March 29. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you his caring, loving, giving, and active life was cut short by COVID-19. Bob was recruitment chairman for the Gamma Phi Chapter in the late '70s and recently enjoyed a reunion with his brothers in February. Bob earned his bachelor of arts in journalism in 1979 before obtaining his juris doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1983. Bob began his law practice in 1983. At the time of his passing, Bob was president and managing partner of Derryberry & Naifeh, LLP. He was a well-respected attorney and was regarded for his knowledge and dedication to the practice of law. Nothing was more important to Bob than family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Bob also loved the outdoors and the Sooners. His family notes his Beta Theta Pi fraternity brothers represented the strongest ties of friendship. Our thoughts and prayer to his wife, Carol, and their three sons. IN MEMORY OF ROBERT N. NAIFEH JR. '79; COVID-19 CLAIMS ONE OF OUR OWN Alumni Advisory Opportunities You Don't Have to be Local Anymore! T he chapter advisory team has been working actively with the House Corporation and the undergraduate executive committee throughout all of the new challenges that have been presented by COVID-19. As with many other parts of our normal life, this has all been done remotely through Zoom and Skype. One positive that has come from this process is realizing that we can operate much more efficiently over these various platforms. We have realized this presents an opportunity to involve many more alumni in advisory roles. In the past, our advisory team has mostly been limited to alumni located in Norman or Oklahoma City. After positive feedback from the executive officers, we would like to expand our advisory team to include alumni that have not had the opportunity to get involved before due to geographical limitations. If you have any interest in joining the advisory team, feel free to contact me directly. We are actively shifting roles and focuses amongst the team, so let me know what area you would like to help in and we can make it work.
