"Kappa lasts a lifetime. I did not fully understand the
meaning of that statement when I joined Kappa in the fall
of 1986. My years as an undergraduate in Kappa were
wonderful. They helped shape me into the person I am
today, but the true impact of the lifetime commitment is
something I understood much more recently. When I
returned to Tucson in 2015, I had been away for 25 years. Initially, I joined
the House Board to reconnect to Kappa and Tucson. I have stayed involved
because I love this chapter. Our members are incredible! My volunteer
time supports this chapter so that other young women get the opportunity to
be a Kappa. It brings me great satisfaction to work alongside our amazing
members and feel the experience of being a Kappa once again."

OUR FUTURE AT 1435 E. 2ND STREET
W
hile we reflect on our past and celebrate Gamma Zeta's recent successes, we now
look forward to our future. In April 2016, we significantly increased the mortgage
of our home to finance the large renovation that took place. In return, the project has
dramatically reduced our house savings. Since parts of the house were not renovated, we
must continue to invest dollars into the house to maintain the existing, aging structure, both
the interior and exterior, and keep the house safe.
Today, Gamma Zeta has embarked on a $1.5 million capital campaign. This campaign will:
Pay down the mortgage
Fund additional housing needs, specifically refinishing the dining room, updating the
upstairs, downstairs, and apartments
Invest in our future members with a $100,000 scholarship endowment
