ALPHA GAMMA DELTA 3 ALPHA GAM SCHOLARS E ach year members of the chapter are eligible to apply for a scholarship in memory of Psi member Carol Looney '62. The recipients for the 2020-21 school year are: Katie Green '17 Leah Varnell '18 Olivia Davis '18 Rebecca Snellgrove '17 Congratulations, sisters! share that time with my AΓ∆ family members all gathered at the house on that day." For those who know Olivia, they know that running for Homecoming Queen was a large step outside of her comfort zone. However, seeing the members of the chapter, along with Psi alumnae, unite to support her platform and intent to run is something she will always remember. "It gave me the confidence to stand tall," she stated. "I would have never been able to do it without the constant encouragement, love, and support from my Alpha Gam family." Olivia Wages experienced the same support from her Alpha Gam sisters when she was a top Corolla Beauty and first runner-up to the Homecoming Queen. That support was consistent during her time at UA and made a lasting impact and taught her essential life lessons. "It's funny that I was a Corolla Beauty; I was no beauty, but my sisters were supportive, and I was immensely proud to represent Alpha Gamma Delta!" Oliva shared. "Being an AΓ∆ taught me the meaning of friendship, being a team player, and a challenge to be better person." Knowing that her Alpha Gam sisters always had her back at UA was important for Sara during her time at Psi Chapter. Equally important was being a part of something bigger than herself and having that community support through the sisterhood. Angie's AΓ∆ experience also taught her the importance of having a community of strong women who have your back and who love you. "Even though changes occur over the generations, there is still so much that we can share through our AΓ∆ experience," Angie said. "I love that when we all get together, we can always talk about AΓ∆. We have been so fortunate that the chapter has always been so strong, and we can be proud of our legacy there!"
