3 Lambda Chi Alpha A s the world rapidly changes around us, the men of Alpha-Delta Zeta have taken everything in stride to build on your past accomplishments. It's important to us to live up to the high standards of Lambda Chi Alpha and make our brotherhood proud. Over the past few months, I have seen more progression and innovative ideas come from the Chapter, its officers, and the general membership than I have in all of my four years at Alpha-Delta Zeta. STRONG START TO SPRING SEMESTER This decade couldn't have started much better for Alpha-Delta Zeta, as we welcomed the largest spring recruitment class in recent memory. We brought in eight quality men who have already made a great impact on our brotherhood. That momentum coupled with a large increase of our Chapter cumulative GPA turned a lot of heads on the MS&T campus. While we jumped from 14th to seventh in the S&T fraternity GPA rankings, there is still room to improve. We have set a hefty, but manageable goal to finish the spring semester with a 3.3 GPA or better. To help us achieve that goal, High Sigma Nathan Biggers AΔ 1478 adapted our study hour program and High Kappa Cade Dillard AΔ 1479 and High Phi David Newman AΔ 1465 reworked our Kappa and Big Brother programs. There's no doubt in my mind we will be successful. HOME SWEET HOME Another goal of ours is to make our Chapter House feel like home. House Manager George Garner AΔ 1454 created the Home Improvement Committee, which brought in incredibly motivated minds and an interior designer to refurnish rooms in the Chapter House. We installed a new home theatre with a 4K projector and 139-inch screen with Dolby surround sound so our members can unwind and enjoy each other's company while cheering on our beloved Chiefs, Royals, and Cardinals. This allowed us to rearrange the famous "OLR"' and formal living room into a study lounge so our brothers could have more space to collaborate on their academic endeavors with one another. Ultimately, these updates will make the Chapter House feel like more of a home away from home for our brothers and future members. Everything we do is in an effort to leave the Chapter in a better state for those who follow behind us. PUSHING FORWARD Motivation, determination, and spirits are all high, amid the crazy and ever-changing world we live in today. I am humbled and honored to be leading our brothers at 1705 N. Pine Street, and wish all the best to you and your families.
