Warren Davis '50 (Γ614) entered Chapter Eter- nal on July 4, 2019, at the age of 92. Born July 14, 1926, in Lake Ariel, Pa., he was the son of the late Edward J. and Edna Bidwell Davis. He was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School, earned his bachelor's degree in animal hus- bandry from the Pennsylvania State University and his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. He was a United States Air Force veteran where he served as a captain in the Medical Corps. Prior to retirement, he was a veterinarian in Lake Ariel for 53 years. He was a member of the American Pennsylvania Northeastern Veterinary Medical Association, past member of the Board of Directors and Ad- visory Council of community health concerns of Wayne Memorial Hospital, Board of Directors of the Lake Ariel Boy Scouts of America, Board of Directors of the Lake Ariel United Methodist Church, and past president and treasurer of the Lake Ariel Lions Club. William Santel '50 (Γ608), age 89, entered Chapter Eternal at his home in Pleasant Hills on September 2, 2019. Bill is survived by his beloved sons, William M. (Linda) Santel and David J. (Marcy) Santel; granddaughters, Emily (Jorge) Garcia and Carlee Santel; brother, Martin (Ann) Santel; as well as nieces, nephews, loving friend/caregiver Sherri Kearns and his beloved puppy, Allie. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Fern Haughton Santel, and sister, Betty Bojanowski. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran. He graduated from Penn State in 1954 where he was a varsity wrestler and proud member of Alpha Gamma Rho. He was a life- time member of the Penn State Alumni Assn. and Penn State Letterman's Club. Bill was the proud owner of Santel's Exxon Station in Large, Pa., for 37 years. James R. Metzler '55 (Γ701) entered Chapter Eternal on October 4, 2019. He was born April 22, 1935, in Mount Joy, Pa. After graduation, he proudly served his county in the United States Navy with a rank of LTJG. Because Jim never met a stranger, he was a successful salesman and worked in specialty advertising, having won numerous sales awards over the years. He was a member of Fort Caroline Baptist Church. Jim loved his football, was an avid Nittany Lions fan, and in 1995 became a Jaguars fan as well. However, he always made sure everyone knew how his Nittany Lions were doing. He also en- joyed genealogy, traveling, Sudoku puzzles, and entertaining everyone with his stories, often laughing before finishing the story or delivering the punch line. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him Kenneth Ketterer '61 (Γ802) entered Chapter Eternal on January 7, 2020, at his home, sur- rounded by his caregivers and friends. Kenneth was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Newville. He was a lifelong farmer and was at the forefront of progressive conservation and modern farm practices in Pennsylvania. Kenneth also worked for the Department of Agriculture and was a Penn State Extension Agent for Cum- berland County. He also was employed at Ike and Mamie Eisenhower's Farm in Gettysburg, watching over their prize cattle. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. William Prizer '65 (Γ883), who founded The William Mann Company, entered Chapter Eter- nal on August 7, 2019, while visiting family and friends in New Hampshire and Connecticut. He was 74. Bill attended the Haverford School and received a bachelor's degree in business from Penn State University. Gifted with a keen talent for financial trends, as well as notable acumen in basic business practices, he began work in the Trust Department of Casco Bank in Portland, Maine, before starting his own investment ser- vice in Nashua, N.H. Edward Maguire '66 (Γ910) entered Chapter Eternal in November 2019, under hospice care at his home. Edward was a native of Miquon/ Conshohocken, Pa., the son of the late Henry Boas and Susan Bennet Maguire. He served in the U.S. Army in the 19th AVN Co. 8th Army.
