Beta Tau
T
he women of Beta Tau made the most of
their time together during the 2019-20
school year. The collegians did some amazing
work by raising more than $20,000 for the
Alzheimer's Association. After participating
in A Walk to End Alzheimer's last fall, Beta
Tau hosted Campus Conversations, which
is an educational event on campus to raise
Alzheimer's awareness. They also hosted the
Sigma Shootout soccer tournament to benefit
the Alzheimer's Association.
Staying true to Sigma Kappa's values played
a big role in helping Beta Tau take home
ΣK's Ruth Rysdon Miller for Excellence in
Panhellenic Relations Award. We also would
like to congratulate former Chapter President
Samantha Fining '16 for being named the
Panhellenic President of the Year and Hannah
Beatty '16 for being selected as a Sigma Kappa
leadership consultant.
Sigma Kappa was well represented in several
other organizations on campus, including
Student Government Senate, Florida Blue Key,
Order of Omega, Gator Growl, Danza, Sister
Support Ambassadors, TedxUF, The Big Event,
U Matter Ambassadors, Project Makeover,
Footprints, FYF Peer Leaders, Best Buddies,
Pi Chi, and various positions in the Panhellenic
Council Activities and Communications
Director's Boards.
