THETA OMEGA page 3 She may have joined Theta Omega because she was comfortable there, but that hasn't stopped Abbey from stepping out of her comfort zone. After graduating with a degree in psychology and a minor in applied behavioral sciences, she now has an unlikely job at Brown Grantham Family Chiropractic in Overland Park. "I figured I would try it even though it was way out of my expertise, and I'm so glad I did!" Abbey loves the people she meets and the relationships they form, as well as learning about Kansas City and her new industry. Her favorite undergraduate memories are tough to narrow down, but Abbey and her friends most often reminisce about just staying in to bond, hang out, and watch movies. She sees many of those sisters nearly every week and feels fortunate to live so close to them today. Abbey also branched out by serving in officer roles, both as an undergraduate and an alumna. She has served as an alumnae advisor for recruitment and looks forward to many successful recruitments to come. "I love being able to look back at my college experience and know that I was part of something bigger than myself," Abbey says. "I have so much pride in the amazing things Tri Delta women do for their community, St. Jude, and the university. Being a Tri Delta is something that I will treasure for the rest of my life." She encourages sisters to get involved in the chapter and the community, as the skills learned and friendships made will be invaluable. In her free time, Abbey enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as trying new places around Kansas City. She can be reached at abbeyab1@gmail.com.
