After all, they started out more than 25 years ago smoking barbecue from a trailer at the crossroads of Crossover and Mission Boulevard. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter, with barely enough room for two people to stand side-by-side, Penguin Ed's has come a long way from its humble roadside beginnings. The more-than-just- barbecue business has grown to include three restaurants across Fayetteville. And it will take more than a pandemic to keep them down. Their perfectly-smoked, tender, juicy barbecue and signature sauces have been winning awards and loyal customers since the beginning. But they also make praise-worthy burgers, hot wings, fresh salads —and of course, mouthwatering cookies to top it off. On the east side of Fayetteville, Penguin Ed's Mission and Crossover location is OPEN for take out, curbside service and home delivery with Bite Squad, 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. On the west side of Fayetteville, the Wedington Drive location has just re-opened for take out and curbside service Thursday-Sunday only, from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. The historic B&B location on 230 S. East Avenue is temporarily closed to the public until further notice. But they still continue to use this location to smoke their meat every morning. You can call either the Mission or Wedington location Local favorite delivers award-winning barbecue and more… curbside, or to your door "We cannot thank enough our dedicated staff and customers for their support and understanding through this time. We remain confident we'll get through this together, and soon all our doors will open again." – Penguin Ed's
