Not Too Early
to Submit Recs
for Formal
Recruitment
S
orority chapters across the country
are already preparing for formal
recruitment in August. It is not too
early to submit recommendations to any
Alpha Chi chapter for a potential new
member. For Alpha Nu, recommendations
should be submitted online by August 1.
The link to the recommendation form is
at alphachiomega.org/resource-center/
recommend-a-member.
Formal recruitment at Mizzou begins August
15. Bid Day is Saturday, August 22. Chapter
members will return to Columbia on August
8 for Polish Week.
"My goal as the VP of Recruitment is
to provide all members the support and
guidance they need to ensure every potential
new member who walks through our door
sees the genuine, authentic and accepting
qualities of each of our sisters," Emiley
Zegar '17 said. "I can't wait to showcase
our chapter and all that it has to offer this
upcoming formal recruitment."
A legacy to Alpha Chi Omega is a
sister, daughter, granddaughter or great-
granddaughter of a member. The Alpha
Chi Omega member and her family
member define their legacy relationship,
e.g., step relations, blended families, etc.
Alpha Chi Omega values the relationship
between a legacy and an alumna member.
Chapters are regularly educated regarding
the National legacy policy. Meeting these
women is important in maintaining loyalty
to our sisters, but ultimately, membership
is the decision of both the chapter and
the woman going through recruitment.
Alpha Chi's legacy policy can be viewed
at alphachiomega.org/join-us/prospective-
members/legacies.
