Phi DelTa TheTa 3 A s always, a lot of great work has been done by Indiana Zeta's brothers this year. We started the year focused on service, volunteering at the Greencastle Music Festival the first weekend back on campus. In September, Phi Delt families gathered for the Chapter's Parents Weekend festivities, that included our annual auction. With generous donations from our parents, we exceeded our $5,000 fundraising goal – donating half to Phi Delt's Live Like Lou Foundation. Our fight to raise research dollars and awareness of ALS continued in November. Indiana Zeta once again partnered with our fellow Phis from Wabash for the Monon Bell Ball Relay and presentation prior to the 126th Bell game. Wabash Phi Delts transported the game ball halfway between the two campuses on foot, then a team of DePauw Phi Delt bike riders brought it back to Greencastle to present to officials. "This is the seventh consecutive year for the event," shared alumni advisor Andrew Miller '13. "This year, we'll eclipse $40,000 in donations toward ALS research. We are grateful to DePauw Athletic Director Stevie Baker-Watson for her support of this very positive event." Fresh off our Monon Ball victory, the brothers set their sights on another worthy cause, the DePauw Dance Marathon benefitting Riley Children's Hospital. As a Chapter, Indiana Zeta's brothers raised more money than any other on campus. Phi Delt maintains its reputation in Tiger Athletics. This fall, Indiana Zeta was represented by senior athletes Jake Brady '20, Nick Carlson '20, and Sam Kramer '20 on the soccer field, James Deaton '20 and Jared Penry '20 in football, and senior golfer Luis Esteban '20. It's with great excitement we announce that our resident runner, Chris Bailey '22, will be adding to our athletic and charitable accomplishments this spring by becoming an Iron Phi. Chris, who competes on DePauw's cross country and track and field team, will be raising $1,000 for Live Like Lou, and completing a long-distance run. Keep an eye on our social media pages for further details and how you can help! Spring semester began with another very successful recruitment. Indiana Zeta's 152nd Phikeia class is 18 men strong and we remain the largest fraternity on campus. Nearly half of our new members participate in one of DePauw's programs of distinction, while 13 play on four varsity sports teams. We're looking forward to the coming semester and continuing to transmit our fraternity greater than it was transmitted to us. Your brothers at Indiana Zeta appreciate your support and encourage you to reach out for a visit or opportunities to get involved!
