BATTLEFIELD STATE PARK Battlefield State Park is more than 900 acres wide and is home to Civil War reenactments, special events, and fun days with the family. e park offers guided walking tours, self-guided driving tour, a geocache tour, as well as a virtual tour. In addition, the park also has interactive exhibits, playground, pavilions, and is home to the battlefield museum, Hindman Hall. Battlefield Park also hosts a fall festival called Night at the Museum, where the exhibits come to life aer dark. Stories from generals, medics, and civilians, are all highlighted. All ages are invited to attend the event, which also features cras, games, food and drink. Anyone interested in watching history come to life shouldn't miss this amazing event. DELFORD RIEFF PARK e park includes the beautiful Aquatic Park, four first class baseball fields, concession areas, a ½ mile paved walking trail, sand volleyball court, and the Murph Pair Skate facility. e park borders on Mock Street to the East and Butler Street to the North, and includes excellent views of the countryside and hills surrounding Prairie Grove looking south. AQUATIC PARK e Prairie Grove Aquatic Park is the ideal place to beat the heat in the summer months. e park has water slides, swimming pools, and offers fun and sun for the entire family. Swim lessons, water aerobics, and season passes are also available. One of the events at the aquatic park is the annual Soggy Doggy Pool Party that is sponsored by Friends of Prairie Grove Pound. e event features concessions, local vendors, and a fundraiser raffle, in which all proceeds go to the Friends of Prairie Grove organization. e annual Celebrate Prairie Grove event has also been held at the Aquatic Park with free swimming, concessions, bouncy houses and a fireworks display.
