LINCOLN LAKE Lincoln Lake is 400 acres of pure outdoor enjoyment. e potential activities include hiking, fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing, boating, and it is also a nesting home for bald eagles. e rock climbing in Lincoln is commonly referred to as "little Devil's Den", and are some of the most easily accessible bluffs in Northwest Arkansas. Lincoln Lake also has multiple trails; Spillway Loop, Eagle View Trail, Piney Loop, and Lake Loop Trail, all of which vary in length and are well maintained throughout the year. e lake is also a prime spot for canoeing and kayaking, and is considered the jewel of the Lincoln parks and recreation system. LINCOLN RODEO e Lincoln Riding Club Rodeo is an exciting event held annually at the Lincoln Riding Club Arena. ere are several events for people of all ages including; bull riding, several roping events, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and bareback bronc riding. It is hosted by the Hampton Rodeo Company and will be celebrating its 66th Rodeo later this year. Additionally, there is also a street dance, rodeo performance, and parade that round out this three-day event. e Rodeo Parade participants range from local businesses, schools, churches, to groups within the community. e Lincoln Rodeo has continued to grow through the years but the event remains a staple for the city. CHICKEN ROD NATIONALS CAR SHOW e annual Chicken Rod Nationals car show is sponsored by the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce and is not an ordinary car show. e event takes place on the Lincoln Square, this year on June 27, and features an impressive variety of antique vehicles. Antique vehicles are not the only ones welcome to the car show though, any and all vehicles are encouraged to attend. e event is designed to give everyone a chance to show off their vehicle, regardless of the make, model, or condition. e event has live music and food concessions, it is also free for spectators, so it's a great event for the entire family to enjoy. BUMBLEBEE PARK One of the more recent parks, opened in 2014, features a basketball court, picnic pavilion, playground, barbecue grills, and plenty of green space for a variety of outdoor activities like egg hunts, sports, picnicking, and a multitude of other activities. e name for Bumblebee Park came to be as a result of local poll from the community. is park has been a welcomed and successful addition to the Lincoln parks department.
