RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (includes Blythe, CA) Public Health Offi cer Dr. Camer- on Kaisernew health order restricts mass gatherings of 10 people or more, and orders that gatherings with fewer than 10 people must have enough available room to maintain six feet of space between attendees. This is known as social distancing. There are limited exemptions to the 10-person rule, including health- care facilities, grocery stores, day- care centers and restaurants serv- ing take-out. Kaiser has also ordered the closure of all Riverside County schools from elementary to college. He also has recommended that se- nior citizens and those with under- lying health conditions in the Coachella Valley avoid any non- essential travel. The orders have im- pacted religious services, weddings, sporting events and classrooms countywide. Maricopa County has activated an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to help with the county's response to the coronavirus crisis. The county tells us there are three levels of activation. The EOC will be activated at a level 2, which is a mid-level activation and only in- cludes internal emergency manage- ment staff. Phoenix COVID-19 updates Early Tuesday morning, Amazon said it would be "temporarily pri- oritizing household staples, medical supplies, and other high-demand products coming into our fulfi ll- ment centers so that we can more quickly receive, restock and deliver these products to customers." The online retailer announced it is prioritizing medical supplies, household staples and other high- demand essentials until April 5. "We are temporarily prioritizing, house- hold staples, medical supplies, and other high-demand products com- ing into our fulfi llment centers so that we can more quickly receive, restock, and deliver these products to customers," the email reads. By "prioritizing," Amazon means it will no longer accept new shipments to its warehouses for discretionary items through April 5th. During that time, Amazon will continue to sell all types of products on its web- sites, but sellers listing discretion- ary items will have to store and ship them on their own if they aren't al- ready in, or on their way to, an Am- azon warehouse as of Tuesday. The drastic move follows a signifi - cant uptick in orders as thousands around the world isolate themselves during the recommended social- distancing period.
