Indeed, the 13-episode third season of Carl Sa- gan's visionary "Cosmos" franchise, hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson and pre- miering Monday, March 9, on National Geographic, hearkens back to our an- cient ancestors who used nature's forces to step out of their realms and explore and settle Earth's frontiers. But here, those frontiers are also greatly expand- ed as through animation, holograms and other special effects, the series takes viewers on a jour - ney through 13.8 billion years of cosmic evolution, starting at the dawn of the universe and progressing well into our distant future. Along the way, they'll visit never-before-seen worlds and meet those who made possible our understand- ing of life's spectacular voyage. It also reveals in- telligent life forms that are right in front of us but are imperceptible to the human eye. With talk of climate change and discoveries in space in the news, series creator and executive pro- ducer Ann Druyan feels this chapter of her late hus- band Sagan's brainchild is especially well-timed. "We're living in a mo- ment where exoplanets are being discovered through- out the galaxy," Druyan ex- plains. "But to me, it's also the lost worlds of our past, the worlds of our future where the human species might one day live. And I called it 'Possible Worlds' because most of all, it's about ... this world and its possibilities and the future that we can still have if we get our act together and start listening to science and taking what the scien- tists are saying to heart." Neil deGrasse Tyson gives an enlightening tour of 'Cosmos: Possible Worlds' The identity of the featured celebrity is found within the answers in the puzzle.
