CELEBRATING A SIGNIFICANT SEMESTER
GAMMA DELTA FINISHES THE DECADE STRONG
I
n the fall semester, Gamma Delta Chapter
placed fourth in grades with a 3.33 GPA, im-
proving once again on the previous semester.
Twenty of our brothers even achieved a 4.0! We
are very proud of our academic performance last
semester and plan to further improve in this area.
In September, we initiated 36 new brothers into
the Chapter. One of these new brothers was a
non-student initiate, Monty Butts. We had an
incredible retention rate, initiating 35 of the 36
undergraduates we pinned in August. We are
gearing up for Greek Discovery Day and fall re-
cruitment.
Last fall, we hosted our third annual Buckets
for Brandon tournament. This tournament hon-
ors brother Brandon Cavazos '18, who passed
away in 2016. We had a great turnout for this
event, with participation from our brothers and
several other fraternities on campus. We also
hosted a new philanthropy event, Cirque de Sig-
ma, with the men of Sigma Nu. This event raised
about $1,500 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
We are proud to announce we placed first in
Homecoming House Decoration alongside the
women of Phi Mu. We continued that success into
Freshman Follies, taking home another first-place

of our cast members, Leif Gustafson '23, also
won Best Male Follier. In February, we performed
in Varsity Revue and finished third.
Fall 2019 was a great semester for us, and we are
excited about the future. We would like to thank
our alumni for their continued support. If you are
ever in Stillwater, be sure to stop by the house.
