I
n 1893, Gamma Gamma of Alpha Tau Omega became
the first fraternity established at Rose Polytechnic
Ins tute. In 1968, Gamma Gamma again led the way
by building the first fraternity house on campus. Since
then, many things have changed, including the name of
the ins tu on. One thing, however, remains constant—
Gamma Gamma. For 127 years, we have been defining
the fraternity experience at Rose-Hulman. More than
1,200 men have gone on to have dis nguished careers
in science, engineering, business, and beyond. We have
maintained lifelong bonds with our brothers and each
year, when we celebrate Homecoming at Rose, we come
back to our home at 5500 Wabash. No ma er how long
it has been, it s ll feels like yesterday.
Not only is our house a permanent home on campus
for alumni, it is the cornerstone of undergraduate life
for our ΑΤΩ brothers. It is a home away from home. It
is a safe place where brothers grow to be ethical leaders
inspired by the principles of Character, Scholarship,
Fellowship, and Brotherhood. However, for ΑΤΩ to
remain compe ve at Rose, we must provide a more
modern facility for our undergraduate brothers. This is
our opportunity to once again set ourselves apart from
the other fraterni es and enable our men to recruit the
best that Rose has to offer.
