"Another mentor, Tom Hicks '68, in addition to getting me a blind date with my wife, has been my friend and business partner for over 50 years." anks to that friendship, Dick has a wonderful marriage of nearly 51 years and two grown sons who are great providers, husbands, and fathers. "When my pledge class gets together at fraternity functions, it is as though no time has passed—though we sure look different." Dick particularly looks forward to Texas Alpha's 90th anniversary celebration and the opportunity to reunite with brothers from many eras, as well as salute recently passed brothers such as Roger Chapman '49 and Jack Cartwright '67.
