This is a fud raiser to go one of our projects to help Vet- erans, their families. youth and our community. Wow! What an amazing few weeks in Quartzsite. The weather coop- erated for our winter visitors who came and enjoyed the big shows in town. It may be freezing for a few days, but the sun will return short- ly and we'll have more beautiful weather for February events! There's so much to see and just so little time for many of us! Thank- fully, technology is now a part of the show scene in Quartzsite. This year, dozens of new videos popped up online, some made by drones show- ing overhead views of the Big Tent area and BLM camping areas. With so many cell phone cameras, folks posted hundreds of photos of areas I didn't get to visit this year. As the saying, goes, "Not all who wander are lost." RVers who visit Quartzsite are younger than in years past and they enjoy a variety of dif- ferent lifestyles. Not all those who wander are lost. J. R. R. Tolkien Deals are still being found all over town as vendors are still offering their wares at multiple swap meets. Restaurants are now accessible with lots of delicious treats. Tyson Well's Arts & Craft Show runs through Sunday, Feruary 9th. And Desert Gardens Int'l Gem & Min- eral Show is still going strong. Pros- pectors Panoram and Swap Meets are open throughout town making shopping a delight. This weekend brings the return of Quartzsite's famous Gold Treasure & Craft Show at the Quartzsite Im- provement Assoc. Friday, Saturday & Sunday, February 7th-9th. Be sure to check out all the happenings at www.QuartzsiteGoldShow.com. Also happening this weekend is the Heart Quilt Show at the Senior Cen- ter on Friday & Saturday February 7 & 8. Check out details on Page 21. and the Annual Fun Fly and Air Show at the Town Park RC airstrip. Febru- ary 14 will have a demonstration of night fl ying, Saturday will be our regular air show, expanded to take in the afternoon, the fi nal day will have an informal fun fl y and a swap meet More details on Page 3. So get out and "wander" at the "wonders" around Quartzsite.
