Pi Beta Phi Fraternity Mississippi Beta Chapter 642 Rebel Drive Oxford, MS 38677 Dear Mississippi Beta Alumnae: I am pleased to learn of Mississippi Beta's decision to renovate and expand the chapter house on 642 Rebel Drive. The University of Mississippi appreciates the leadership your undergraduates have provided the campus for nearly 60 years. Your alumnae have assumed key business, professional, political and academic positions throughout the state and the nation. Since 1850, the fraternity and sorority community has had a long and proud tradition at Ole Miss and plays an important role in the lives of its members. The university administration is supportive of the sororities and fraternities that make so many significant contributions and whose alumni remain loyal to their alma mater. The standards of student housing at Ole Miss are increasing each year. Today's students require sufficient space and technology to support their complex lifestyles and dynamic academic needs. Additionally, our Panhellenic community has seen exponential growth over the past few years with chapter sizes exceeding 400 women. Many sororities and fraternities are planning and carrying out major housing projects to address these needs. I applaud the launching of a capital campaign to meet the needs of today. I support and wish you great success in achieving your goals for this important effort. Your decision to provide an excellent living environment will enhance the overall university experience for your undergraduates. I hope all Mississippi Beta alumnae respond to this capital campaign with a degree of generosity that reflects an appreciation for the impact the Mississippi Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi and The University of Mississippi has had on them. The successful completion of this project can only be realized through the generous support of alumnae and friends like you. My Best, Arthur E. Doctor, Jr., Ed.D. Director of Fraternal Leadership & Learning
