We celebrated our five new members from informal recruitment with a cotton-candy-themed Bid Day.
A
lpha Epsilon Phi Rho Chapter
will look back on 2019 as a
year filled with achievements
and successes. We strive to cultivate a
community that prides itself on hard work
and academic integrity. Our chapter has
maintained a grade point average of 3.65
this past year, which was the highest GPA on
campus for all Greek life.
OVER $10,000 RAISED FOR CHARITY
Not only do we focus on our academic
pursuits, but we extend ourselves to better
our greater community. Our chapter proudly
supports two philanthropies: Sharsheret, a
foundation that aids breast cancer research
and funding, and Elizabeth Glazer Pediatrics
AIDS Foundation, or EGPAF. Last spring, we
raised $5,882 to support Sharsheret through
our Phi Trotters basketball tournament.
During Red Week this fall, our chapter hosted
a week of philanthropy events, including
our annual Say Cheese event to support
EGPAF with a donation of $4,561. Through
our engagement with these philanthropic
organizations, we can better support our
community and do our part to give back.
FIVE NEW FALL MEMBERS
As a growing and evolving organization, we
are constantly adding new members to our
chapter. This past fall we took in five new
members through our informal recruitment
process and celebrated them with a cotton-
candy-themed Bid Day! Active members and
new members alike were eager to welcome
more women into our chapter.
CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT
Members are involved in not only our
organization, but also various groups across
campus. Seven women work with our campus'
athletic department, exploring their passions.
Additionally, we have seven Rho Gams
who will facilitate recruitment on the other
end of the process. We also have members
involved in PHA as the current vice president
of recruitment guides and as a future PHA
justice. These are just a few examples of how
our members are involved on campus. We
are consistently proud and encouraging of
our members extending themselves to their
greatest potential, and we are eager to see
what the future holds for our chapter!
