Rho Chapter Strand of Pearls 2 reorganized, promoted, and publicized the library. She continued as a children's librarian at a neighborhood public library for three years, and then was head librarian at Louisville Collegiate School for 20 years. In addition, Evie served as president of the Louisville Librarians Association and the Kentucky Librarians Association. "I have been to numerous librarian conferences across the USA." Evie is now retired, but volunteers at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, which has a children's component. She also continues to organize and promote the Jewish Community Center's library and is on the board of a branch of the Louisville Free Public Library. Evie fondly recalls her time with her Rho sisters and the lessons learned. "I would like future female collegians to support higher education. Learning is lifelong and I support worthy endeavors." She encourages her sisters to keep in touch from time to time through newsletters and updates. Her motto: always support learning of all kinds. In Louisville, Evie and Chuck attended some Buckeye football games but now mostly watch on TV. They also get together with the Louisville Ohio State Alumni Association to cheer on the Buckeyes. Evie can be reached at evtop@aol.com. Evelyn Rosen Topcik '58 (Continued from page 1) Thank You, Loyal Alumnae W e wish to extend our gratitude to the alumnae who chose to support Alpha Epsilon Phi. Your gifts make it possible for our undergraduates to reside in a safe and comfortable home while remaining competitive at The Ohio State University. As our centennial approaches in 2021, support from our sisters grows even more important. The amount given is not important; the act of giving is the real gift. We hope to see our donor list continually grow in honor of our 100 years. The following is a list of alumnae who gave to our spring 2019 appeal. Thank you for your support!
