We had an awesome Santa Event with close to 100 children receiving socks, hats, slippers, books, crayons, hoodies, t- shirts, backpacks and of course several toys of their choice. Thanks Penny from Parents as Teachers for the neat memorable orna- ment the children got to make and the coloring stocking activity. Thanks Santa aka Ancil and Mrs. Clause aka Cookie and our photogra- phers Sheryl and Margaret that developed photos so all could take their photos with Santa home. Thank you, super elf Jan, for organizing our porch Toyland. The Explor- ers were here Friday to assist with the set up, too. It was a joyous Toyland conversion of our porch area. Thanks to all the event Elf helpers that really stepped in to make such a memorable occasion. It takes a whole village to put on such a huge event. THANK YOU ALL!! Thanks, Jef for singing Christmas carols several days outside here at the store. It added such a heartening holiday air. We presented the QPD Explorers with an $800.00 donation. We will continue our fundraising efforts for our community youth. We currently have a beautiful USA state lap quilt made by Norma Ragsdale. Come in and purchase your ticket. We also purchased Christmas food items for our local Carol's Food Bank, Isaiah 58, and Eve's Place. A special thanks to all our dedicated Bell ringers. Our total collected was $5275.00. This is so amazing. It is beyond words of appreciation. We are very blessed by such generosity. Thank you, our Quartzsite community! May the New Year 2020 bring happiness and love to all. Be happy.
