Poker Run planned OREGANO We all know that fragrant spice oregano that so many of us love - - but did you know that oregano is one of the most powerful essential oils on the market today, and yes it IS one in the same!!! It is high in anti-oxidant value, phenolic acids & fl avonoids...so it helps with anti-ag- ing as well as being one of nature's perfect anti-biotics. Oregano es- sential oil also contains the ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria & fungi. It's a great anti-microbial & anti-viral to help build the immune system, fi ghting colds, viruses, the fl u, sore throat, strep throat, sinus infections & more! This powerful antibiotic is able to penetrate the cell wall & fi ght viral infections as well. Pharmaceutical antibiotics are unable to do this. This is one of the safe essential oils to take internally, but it needs to be diluted in a good, edible carrier oil. The wonderful thing about this herb is that even in a tea with some oregano leaves, it can help the body fi ght all those nasties I mentioned above! Its main chemical components in- clude carvacrol & there's been over 800 medical studies done on this ingredient alone!!! Carvacrol has been found to expedite cancer cell death, reduce bacterial infection & infl ammation. It has antimicrobial, antitumor, antimutagenic, anal- gesic, & anti-parasitic properties. It also contains thymol, which has been found scientifi cally to have antiseptic and anti-fungal charac- teristics which are both shared with thyme essential oil. A new study published in the Jour- nal of Medicinal Food, researchers found that oregano oil showed anti- bacterial properties against all 5 of the bad bacteria species. The high- est activity it had was against E-coli, suggesting it could help treat food poisoning. With antibiotic resistance on the rise, having natural alternatives on hand is more important than ever. Antivirals hold the virus down, re- sulting in disabling the viral cells so that the immune system can kick it!! Powerful anti-fungal for warts, athlete's foot & more.
