I am from Ridgewood, New Jersey, come from a big family and went through formal recruitment to find my home here at Ole Miss. Pi Phi has given me that and so much more. As an amputee, I sometimes need a little extra help in my daily life, and I know I am always able to count on my sisters. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead and continue to give back to our chapter. This past year, I served as the New Member Coordinator (NMC). As NMC, I was tasked with planning Bid Day, welcome week, a new member retreat, weekly New Member meetings and more. Recruitment this year went very well! We had 133 incredible women join us, who are already assets our chapter. It has been a pleasure getting to know them and I look forward to seeing their involvement with our chapter in the years to come. From formal recruitment and our Alumnae Brunch to Parent's Weekend and Wing Ching, we have been busy here at Mississippi Beta! We are happy to be going home to our families for the holidays but look forward to being back at 642 Rebel Drive with our sisters in the spring. Our event looked different this year than it has in the past. We updated the event to include a lip-sync battle between the fraternities. Each team was coached by Pi Phi members. After the competition, winners were selected by real-time online voting; the Delta Psi team won first place with their performance of "Psi School Musical." The team was coached by Grace McKissick '19, Holly Hazen '19 and Faith Chatten '19. Wing Ching took place at The Lyric, where guests enjoyed unlimited pizza and wings. Pi Phi raised $18,000 that will be donated to Pi Beta Phi Foundation as well as local reading initiatives such as the Lafayette County Literacy Council and Leap Frog. Our Vice President of Philanthropy, Cassidy Vise '17, did an excellent job coordinating this new philanthropy tradition. Wing Ching
