BIOGRAPHIES She Persisted by Chelsea Clinton (Author), Alexandra Boiger for Kindergarten - 3rd Grade This book introduces children to 13 amazing women—such as Harriet Tubman, Nellie Bly, and Sonia Sotomayor. Chelsea Clinton focuses on the many ways that these women have focused on inspiring and purposeful goals. The Boy Who Loved Math by Deborah Heiligman for Kindergarten -3rd Grade Paul Erdos, a boy who grows up to become a brilliant mathematician, struggled when he was growing up. This is a story of a boy who was a little bit different from all the other kids, but he follows his passion to achieve his dream. Emmanuel's Dream: The True Story of Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah by Laurie Ann Thompson10.5 for Preschool - 3rd Grade Emmanuel was born in Africa with a deformed leg. His mother helped him learn to play soccer and ride a bicycle, showing the world that a disability doesn't stop you from achieving your dreams. Who Says Women Can't Be Doctors?: The Story of Elizabeth Blackwell by Tanya Lee Stone for Preschool - 3rd Grade Elizabeth Blackwell followed her goals and went to medical school. She stuck with her goals and made her dreams come true during a time when women were told that they could not be doctors. Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed and Stasia Burrington for Preschool -3rd Grade When Little Mae was a child, she dreamed of going into space. Her mother told her: "If you believe it, and work hard for it, anything is possible." Mae was incredible very successful working at NASA and became the first African American woman to travel in space. America's Champion Swimmer: Gertrude Ederle by David A.
