Q: What did it mean to you to receive that scholarship?
A: e scholarship paid for my tuition and other college costs. at was an extremely
stressful time for me, so this made it much easier. It meant a lot to be selected by
the scholarship committee. It meant so much to know that they thought enough of
me to invest in me.
Q: Did your experience as a scholarship recipient cause you to consider Redstone
for employment?
A: Yes, it did. Also, I have a sister who previously worked for Redstone, and she told
me what a great company it is. I'm back in school now, and I needed a company that
would allow some flexibility. e Credit Union encourages you to be your best.
Q: What did Santa bring you?
A: A trampoline. It was my favorite thing to do as a kid. I would take my CD player
outside and jump my worries away. I'm not as active as I used to be, so it will be
good exercise.

Kacy Harrison started as a teller at Redstone in
April 2019. ree years earlier, she was a recipient of a
Redstone scholarship.
Earning a Redstone scholarship helped Kacy gain
confidence in herself during a time of uncertainty –
leaving home, starting school, deciding on a major,
and so much more. Now, after a few twists and turns,
she's back in school and again thankful to Redstone
for making that journey easier.
Q: What was the hardest part about completing the
Redstone scholarship application?
A: e whole process was pretty easy, but the essay
was the most challenging. I wanted to make sure
my essay was better than good so that it would
stand out from the others. I shared a lot about my
personal experiences and followed the guidelines.
