She says there's no set vendor list for the facility. Clients can use anyone for flowers and
catering. "Sometimes they want me to do their flowers, and it's great when I can do it because
I can keep my creative spirit alive," she says. "It's just now I don't have to load it up in the car
and transport it somewhere."
at's how things work today at Sacred Stone. Looking back at how far they've come over
the past six years is satisfying. Owning an event venue was never a plan until Lisa took
a floral arrangement class on a whim. She has a background in counseling and worked in
that field for years. Her floral arrangement class changed everything for her. "My whole
world changed," Lisa recalls. "I decided that I wanted to do something more therapeutic for
me because counseling is very taxing."
From there, a hobby turned into a floral business, and the floral business turned into what
is now Sacred Stone. "As I went to different venues, I started asking questions, taking notes
and looking at different things," Lisa says. "I was still a counselor, and I had two mentors I
worked with who had started their own small businesses. ey had worked with Redstone
to get started, and they recommended them to me."
Once they settled on the location, Redstone was there throughout the process. Lisa says
they were so pleased with the help Redstone provided that they have recently sought
another loan for an expansion. But she's not quite ready to discuss that. "ere's more to
come," she says.
