T
his fall has been incredible and full of memories that will last
our members a lifetime. I'm so thankful for the improvements
and accomplishments our Chapter has achieved. I am confident that we
will continue to grow as individuals and as a sisterhood.
Awards at National Convention
In June, 18 of our council members and CAB members attended Kappa
Delta National Convention in Dallas, Texas, where we grew together
and heard from some amazing speakers. We are so proud to win the
Member Education Award and CAB Award of Excellence. Additionally,
Melinda Howard Goode '73 was recognized in the Order of Emerald,
as were Carlee Dawkins '17 and Amber Cargill '16 for their work on
undergraduate scholarships.
110 Members Initiated
We welcomed 110 incredible new members into the Chapter this year,
and we couldn't be more excited. Our members continue to make a
difference on campus, in the Tuscaloosa community, and inside our home.
New House Mom
In addition to welcoming new members, we have been blessed with Miss
Barbara Harrison as our new house director. Miss Barb comes to us from
Florida State, and she's a big fan of themed parties, charcuterie boards,
and loves spending time with her people. She has three children and two
beautiful granddaughters. We are so thankful for Miss Barb and the love
she's provided our Chapter!
Game Day Meals
Everyone loves a good game day meal, and that's exactly what Miss
Barb and our house staff have provided for us this fall. We've held four
successful game day meals at our beautiful Chapter House.
We are forever grateful for the constant support of our loyal alumnae; we
wouldn't be the Chapter we are today without each of you. We welcome
all alumnae to come see our beautiful Chapter House and meet our
members any time you find yourselves in Tuscaloosa!
