Georgia Alpha Today Leaders on Campus, in the Community and in the Classroom Our active chapter is committed to excellence. Raised $18,000 for UGA Miracle. Committed over 1,000 hours to Read > Lead > Achieve®. Participate in over 150 student organizations. Focus on academics with a GPA of 3.52 and 77 women on the Dean's List. Competition at UGA is stiff. • ΑΓΔ – expansion and renovation completed in 2013 • ΑΧΩ – renovation and expansion to be completed by Fall 2020 • ΑΦ – expansion and renovation completed Fall 2019 • ΧΩ – major project to begin in 2021 • ΔΔΔ – expansion and renovation completed in 2011 • ΔΓ – three-phase expansion and renovation to be completed in 2020 • ΖΤΑ – expansion to be completed in 2021 • Today's chapter has outgrown our home. - Every week, our chapter members arrive at 886 South Milledge for chapter where they must move furniture to all fit in the chapter room for meetings. - While our women have graciously dealt with this inconvenience, we know we cannot keep this up if we are to retain our members. • With growing numbers, there are very few places for all women to gather. - We know from our own experiences that the time spent with our Pi Phi sisters is invaluable. If we want our chapter to continue to develop sincere and lifelong friendships, we need to create spaces where they can be together. • Academics are more important than ever. - When the chapter was asked what they needed from this expansion, their answer was unanimous: more space to study. How can we say no to this? UGA is more competitive than ever, and we need to provide areas for our women to grow and learn together. OUR HOUSE IS PUTTING OUR CHAPTER AT RISK. Above left: Women squeezed into the card room and living room for chapter. Above: Hosting the entire chapter for dinner requires women to sit in nearly every room on the first floor, including the TV room.
