It's not every Saturday Official Kids Mag gets to crash a cooking party and watch
more than 20 kids making Quiche Lorraine, broccoli cheddar soup, apple cider with
homemade whipped cream and chocolate chip cookies, but we did. And we had some
great fun doing it!
Young Chefs Academy
®
kids were busy presenting their culinary skills and trying to
get the next badge for cooking classes. The best part was watching them have fun while
cooking.
The kids under 7 years old made broccoli cheddar soup, apple cider and homemade
whipped cream. In less than 60 minutes the soup was on!
The older kids worked in teams like well-oiled machines! Mixing pastry dough,
cracking eggs, and grating cheese all came together for them. Official Kids Mag enjoyed
the smell of fresh baked quiche.
And who can resist chocolate chip cookies? These kids are learning how easy it is to
make delicious food, and Official Kids Mag wants to thank them for sharing the fun.
Young Chefs Academy
®
has a YCA MasterChef program where kids earn patches to
display on their chef's jacket. These kids are serious about honing their culinary skills
and take assessments to work their way to a black MasterChef jacket.
Young Chefs Academy

is run by Alfonso and Mary Vidal, and signing up for classes
is easy. Call 479-401-2006 or stop by the academy at 5208 Village Parkway, Suite 6 in
Rogers.
