WOW kids! It's the end of the year already. Can you believe it? December is a month for giving, and we found Gaby, who used her birthday to give donations to Lowell Animal Shelter. Check out page 38 to read all about the Greatness of Gabby. There is always something to do in December and Official Kids Mag likes working off a list, so on page 10 is the schedule of activities and events. Show your adult and pick one or a bunch to go to. If you are looking for something different to keep you busy at home, on page 8 there are instructions for homemade paper. What a fun way to reduce landfill space and learn a new craft. Going green is great! You can use your STEAM skills for the project on page 6 using borax to make crystals. You can make ornaments or just try growing crystals on everyday items. Make sure you read about how it works so you can astound your teachers, friends and family! Official Kids Mag caught up with a bunch of kids in the kitchen at Young Chefs Academy ® in Springdale. You can see all the goodies they were making on page 12. Runway Bike Park at The Jones Center had a party celebrating one year. You should have seen all the wheels turning for this big party! Official Kids Mag has the two- wheeled action starting on page 16, so check it out. The Kids and their Pets story is different for December. Official Kids Mag found Pets who need Kids! Check out the lovable animals that need someone cool like you to hang out with. And don't forget to send us photos of your special pet and tell us what Official Kids Mag included our little feathered friends for December, with an easy craft that will have the birds almost eating out of your hand. These are fun to make and you can give them as gifts to family and friends who love to watch the birds too. The Holiday reading list is on pages 48 and 49, so you never run out of wonderful books to read. Now it's time to grab a snack and sit back and enjoy the December Official Kids Mag. You're going to need something to write with to do all these fun activity pages. Who knows, you just might learn something! Happy Holidays! We'll see you around town or in the New Year!
