DECEMBER 6-22 The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Cape Fear Regional Theatre This hilarious classic is about a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant with some of the most inven- tively awful kids in history. For informa- tion, check cfrt.org. DECEMBER 7 Green Beret Jingle Jog Jordan Soccer Complex This annual event includes 5K and 10K races on the Cape Fear River Trail for both humans and dogs. DECEMBER 8, 1-5 P.M. A Christmas Tour of Homes Around Fayetteville This annual tour of lovely holiday- bedecked homes is the key fundraiser for the nonprofit Heritage Square His- torical Society. Holiday Jubilee 1897 Poe House The Coventry Carolers and the Cross Creek Chordsmen will perform on the front porch of the Poe House at this fa- vorite seasonal event. Christmas Parade Downtown Fayetteville Expect more than 100 participating groups to march in the annual Christ- mas parade, which is hosted by five local Rotary Clubs along with Rotary International. DECEMBER 14, 5 P.M. Handel's Messiah Singalong First Presbyterian Church The choral group that used to be known as Cumberland Oratorio Singers is now called Cumberland Choral Arts but it has maintained both its excellence and this traditional holiday concert.
