3 Lambda Chi Alpha T he brothers of Alpha-Delta Zeta were excited to kick-start the year with 13 new associates. Though our recruitment numbers weren't quite where we wanted them to be this time around, we made sure to add only the best and brightest men to our Chapter. A BLAST AT WATERMELON BASH We had a solid finish to the spring 2019 semester, as we raised our Chapter GPA and maintained the excellent brotherhood and social aspects of Alpha-Delta Zeta we all cherish. A highlight of last spring was our Watermelon Bash philanthropy event and a successful food drive. WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER This fall, we started our fraternal education program for our new associates and initiated Greg Andert AΔ 1496 and Andrew Burns AΔ 1497. During the first weekend of November, we hosted Parent's Day and our annual Chicken Benefit Dinner, which had another great turnout following a record-breaking dinner in 2018. HOME IMPROVEMENT The men of Alpha-Delta Zeta take a lot of pride in the new Chapter House. After a couple of years of wear and tear on the railings in the main stairwell, Ian Williams AΔ 1477 and Greg Andert led an effort to repaint and seal the railings improving the look of the house for years to come. In addition, a small mural is being added in the same stairwell to revamp its aesthetics. These projects should be completed by the end of the semester. CONGRATULATIONS, TYLER! While we've achieved great feats as a brotherhood, I'd like to recognize an individual accomplishment. Tyler Fank AΔ 1473 competed in the national disc golf tournament alongside the other members of the Missouri S&T disc golf team last season. Tyler and his teammates have already clinched another berth to the national tournament this season. Though preparing for finals week is just around the corner, Lambda Chi Alpha remains on track for a strong end to the semester.
