Mary Laird Holman '54 remains active in the
Northern Nevada USC Alumni Club that she
and her husband founded in the 1970s. She is
the scholarship co-chairman and responsible
for keeping their 750-member roster updated.
"I'm very proud of my California Gamma
sisters and proud also that this past year our
Nevada Alpha Chapter at the University of
Nevada finally got reinstated," she shared.

Pamela Christy Peterson '75 has three children
and two grandchildren. "My daughter was a
Cal Gamma, too, and lived in the same rooms
I did!" Pamela's daughter, Constance "Connie"
Peterson '05, met her husband at USC, and

new member list to share this fall?
Implemented in the fall of 2018 and outlined
by the vice president of student affairs, Ainsley
Carry, all USC students wishing to join a
Greek organization must have a minimum of
12 credit hours and a 2.5 GPA. e university
cited freshman year as the "toughest year of
transition to college life" and that freshman
students need time to adjust to USC's social
and academic climate prior to participating in
fraternity and sorority membership. Stay tuned
