November 10 "You're the Worst" The fifth and final season of this critical favorite dark comedy finds lovebirds Gretchen and Jimmy (Aya Cash, Chris Geere) still trying to figure out if they have a future together. Kether Donohue, Desmin Borges and Janet Varney also star. November 10 "Movie: One Child Nation" This 2019 documentary, a U.S. Grand Jury Prize winner at Sundance, looks at China's one-child rule, an experiment in population control in effect from 1979 to 2015 that restricted couples to one child. Those violating the policy were subject to harsh penalties. The film features archival footage, vintage propaganda material and interviews with those who lived through the policy and those who still suffer from its effects. Page 8 November 11 - 17, 2019 "Making It" (NBC — season premiere, Dec. 2) Make sure your glue guns are hot and your eggnog is cold! Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman head back to the barn to host a second season of this reality series that's sure to include endless puns and comedic banter. This round of contestants will tackle everything from office makeovers to three-dimensional holiday creations, using a wide variety of mediums. Dayna Isom Johnson and Simon Doonan return as judges. InFocus "Santa's Baking Blizzard" (Food Network — series premiere, Nov. 28) Though the weather outside may be turning frightful, the competition here is sure to be delightful. Host Casey Webb tasks three teams made up of top ice sculptors and cake artists to create larger-than-life Christmas scenes for a panel of judges that includes Jocelyn Delk Adams, Amanda Freitag and Zac Young. The winner gets their stocking stuffed full of cold, hard cash.
