THE THETA UPDATE 2 COMING HOME TO ALPHA MU Active Chapter Celebrates Successful Recruitment and Homecoming D uring the week of August 10, members participated in Panhellenic Primary Recruitment. On Bid Day, we were excited to welcome home 70 new members. Our theme was Vogue: Leading Women Edition, in which we celebrated and empowered our women as leaders on campus and within the PHA community. For the week of September 23, we celebrated Inspiration Week in preparation for the initiation of our new members. The week's events included a visit from the Kona Ice Truck, tie-dyeing, a visit to Shyrock's Corn Maze, and a surprise sunrise event on Faurot Field. To conclude the week, we celebrated with Big Sister/Little Sister reveal and initiation; all 70 new members were initiated. This year, Alpha Mu participated in Homecoming with the men of Delta Sigma Phi. This year's overall theme was Tradition Stands Forever, and our subtheme was The Lion King. In addition to our chapter participation, we were thrilled to be represented on the Homecoming steering committee by Tri-Director Caroline Dade '16 and parade committee member Mikala Cessac '16. We are also proud of Chief Recruitment Officer Niki Mitchem '16 for making Homecoming Royalty Top 10! Theta Love and Mine, Hailey Markt '16 Chief Executive Officer hbm427@mail.missouri.edu Breana Smith '18, Madeline Stewart '18, Sophia Smith '18, and Elizabeth Ruhlin '18 cool off during Work Week with some popsicles on the front lawn. Celia Rose '17, Jordan Kallet '17, and Christian Heutel '17 enjoy the football game with their dads for Theta Dads Weekend.
