The Ivy 3 O n behalf of all active sisters, I would like to thank the House Corporation Board for their efforts in renovating the chapter house this summer. The results are nothing short of fabulous, and our 53 new members were excited to see the house. Last year, we were the top chapter in recruitment, and these updates to the Feronian and main-floor bathroom will be an asset in recruitment for many years to come. Active sisters were thrilled to be back on campus working hard during polish week. The focus this year was to show potential new members we are all made to be Alpha Phi and made to be who we are, together. We achieved this by highlighting the authenticity of Beta Beta and our great traditions. I cannot wait to see all the special moments and experiences our new sisters will have at Alpha Phi. Chapter Receives Achievement Award Beta Beta is proud to receive a student Organization Achievement Award from Michigan State's Student Life Leadership. This could not have been achieved without the hard work of our chapter executives and all of our active sisters. We are not slowing down, and we look forward to building on this momentum throughout the 2019-20 academic year. Sisters Spend Summer Around the World As always, active sisters achieved great things over the course of the summer and early fall. Alison Gust '17, Mary Kate Mullen '17, and I spent the summer studying marketing dimensions of business together in Europe. Brooke Kersten '17 and Audrey Wright '16 gained valuable experience interning in Washington, D.C. Brooke spent her time at the EPA headquarters, while Audrey interned with Indiana Senator Mike Braun. Finally, congratulations to Madison Cook '18 for receiving an Alpha Phi International Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Beta Beta is incredibly proud of the hard work our members continue to dedicate to their academics and career pursuits. I would like to welcome alumnae to visit the chapter house next time they are on campus. Come see Beta Beta's success along with the beautiful renovations first-hand.
