GAMMA PHI BETA 3 S igma Chapter welcomed a fantas c new member class a er having a wonderful fall formal recruitment. Sisters, daughters, and granddaughters of Gamma Phi Beta members joined our chapter along with other amazing young women on August 24. WELCOME TO 1339 Our wonderful new members joined us on the lawn for our Girls Tour-themed Bid Day to celebrate with their new sisters! Following Bid Day, the new members joined the rest of the chapter for a sisterhood event at a local arcade to get to know each other and begin their Gamma Phi Beta bond. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS This past spring, our chapter GPA was 3.42, tying for fourth place on the Hill. One hundred seventeen members had GPAs above 3.5, and 35 women had 4.0 GPAs. The 2015 pledge class had the highest GPA with a 3.6. CHAPTER ACTIVITIES Parents Weekend took place September 21, and women and their families enjoyed brunch at the house prior to the football game against West Virginia. Intramurals will start soon with our women par cipa ng in indoor/ outdoor soccer, volleyball, sand volleyball, and basketball. On October 1, we hosted Grilled Cheese with G Phi B's from 6-9 p.m. at the chapter house. Proceeds go directly to Girls on the Run Interna onal. On October 20, our 74 new members will be ini ated into Gamma Phi Beta and the Sigma sisterhood. THANK YOU, ALUMNAE!
